Rescale's mission is to provide a highly powerful simulation platform that empowers the world's engineers and scientists to develop the most innovative products and perform groundbreaking research and development.
Rescale was founded in early 2011 by Joris Poort and Adam McKenzie and has since grown rapidly to become a leading cloud simulation provider. Located in the heart of San Francisco, Rescale brings the latest Silicon Valley technologies to its customers around the world. Rescale's team consists of industry thought leaders, computer scientists, and domain experts in the industries it serves.

Joris Poort Founder & CEOPrior to founding Rescale, Joris spent a summer as an associate at McKinsey & Company working on product development engagements in the high-tech sector. Joris began his career at Boeing, where he worked for four years as a structural and software engineer on the 787 program, optimizing the design of the tail and wings. Joris holds an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School, an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics magna cum laude from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Applied Mathematics magna cum laude from the University of Michigan. |

Adam McKenzie Founder & CTOPrior to founding Rescale, Adam spent three years as a consultant at Slalom Consulting developing web based business applications for businesses in the high-tech and commercial real estate sectors. Adam began his career at Boeing, where he spent seven years working on multiple programs, primarily as a structural and software engineer on the 787 program designing, analyzing, and optimizing the wing. Adam holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering cum laude from Oregon State University. |

Mulyanto Poort VP of EngineeringBefore joining Rescale, Mulyanto spent seven years as a software development and mechanical engineer at Mid-Michigan Research, LLC where he performed specialized research consulting for major engine manufacturing and automotive supplier companies. Mulyanto previously held a position as Research Specialist at Michigan State University, focusing on the development of custom data and image analysis tools. Mulyanto holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. |

Ryan Kaneshiro Chief ArchitectBefore joining Rescale, Ryan spent five years at Slalom Consulting as a consultant and solution architect designing and building custom business applications for companies in varied domains such as high-tech and travel. Ryan began his career at Stottler Henke Associates as an AI Software Engineer where he focused on researching and applying machine learning and information extraction techniques on commercial products and R&D projects. Ryan holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science cum laude from the University of Washington. |

Sunny Manivannan VP of Business DevelopmentBefore joining Rescale, Sunny was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company where he worked on marketing and strategy engagements in the aerospace, healthcare, and high tech sectors. Sunny began his career as an engineer at GE Aviation, where he worked for two years on both commercial and military programs in various engineering roles, including heat transfer, stress analysis, and turbine design. Sunny holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics, awarded with high distinction, from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. |

John K Park Lead Front End DeveloperBefore joining Rescale, John was a data analyst at Coushion and a senior developer at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Before starting his career, he spent two years in the U.S. Army as an Air Traffic Controller, where he was awarded an Army Achievement Medal. During his time as a student, he started his own company to provide a variety of data-anlaysis applications to K-12 educational institutions in Korea. John holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Chicago. |
